If you are a person who likes to get involved, be active, give back, and have fun then you will be enticed to participate in the BlackLight Run event. On March 7, 2015 I had the opportunity to experience an endless night of fun at the BlackLight Run with my closest friends. I had a memorable experience as I accomplished a 5k run at the astonishing Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, along side my friends. From an experience like the BlackLight Run you learn what your limits are and how much stamina you have. At this event you learn more than just where your endurance lies, you are given information that provides awareness in what the purpose of the BlackLight Run is. It is not only a fond memory you will cherish, it is chance for you to lend a helping hand. The BlackLight Run donates a portion of their proceeds to Phoenix Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network. Not only do you feel good about having fun while doing a physical activity, you also feel good knowing you are making children's lives better, I know my friends and I felt that satisfaction.
The BlackLight Run event creates an atmosphere for both an older and younger crowd to experience. Enjoy a day and night of good music, a fun run, and a blast of bright neon colors, at the inexpensive price of $25 for general admission and $45 for a VIP package. There is so much that contributes to the fun and festive setting of the BlackLight Run. A neon glow radiated everywhere with the moving glow sticks everyone sported that night, it was like seeing thousands of moving lights that lit up the night sky! |
I had the pleasure of enjoying a day filled with pre-party fun and a chance to get free stuff! Who doesn't like free things? After the pre-race party with my friends we all tackled the 5k run with a light jog. Then we enjoyed a night filled with entertainment, food, and a photo booth at the after party rave. The young and old are entertained by the glow sticks and a night of endless neon glow powder being thrown around. What you will enjoy is the different factors of entertainment and you will be amused at how exciting it is to throw neon powder at your family and friends. The BlackLight Run takes you to another place, every guest is filled with happiness with this night of endless fun of good music and bright lights. Everyone can run and dance all their worries away. At this event they really make you feel as if the only thing everyone is doing in that moment is laughing, showing off their moves, and making memories.
At the BlackLight Run you are not only guaranteed a night of fun, but a night of great interaction with employees making sure you have a blast and are safe. Within the race we stopped at several stations, some were water stations and others were glow stations. At each one, my friends and I were met with the friendliest employees who would offer us water or if we happened to stop at a glow station, we had the chance to get glow powder thrown at us from the employees. What a fun job, right? Throughout the night employees were always interacting with us, they would cheer us on, make sure we were doing well, and having fun. They even provided medical stations for those who might need some attention throughout the night. My favorite part of interacting with the employees was when my friends and I were able to get up close to the stage and interact with DJ Automatic and guest singer Abrina, They gave us high fives and threw glow sticks and neon glow packs out to the crowd the entire night. It made my friends and I feel special that we had the chance to get so close to all the fun. This experience made myself and the other 10,000 guest feel excited and carefree. The BlackLight Run was able to take away any thoughts or worries away, I had the pleasure of enjoying a 6-hour event filled with good memories and endless entertainment. My friends and I had a night where we felt important along with the other guest, because the entire night they made us happy and excited to be celebrating memories in the making. |
